``Let me help you navigate your integrated healthcare journey."
I preach what I practise, and practise what I preach (mostly!) which allows me to enjoy an active, vital life - personally and professionally. With continued participation in Ironman triathlon competitions whilst looking after a family and holding a career, I intimately understand first-hand the foundations for achieving and maintaining optimal health and well-being.
My own evolution in appreciating the mind/body/spirit aspect of healthcare has ultimately helped me become a better practitioner. My holistic, integrative approach to healthcare incorporates attention to factors such as lifestyle, environment and the mind-body connection, utilising proven natural and complementary therapies alongside traditional medical interventions, ensuring your management plan allows for the best chance of success.
I see advancements in many aspects of conventional healthcare – but it can't be denied: the overall state of people’s health continues to decline.
The traditional reactionary healthcare approach addresses symptoms, often without attention to underlying causes.
This approach can be invasive, expensive and time-consuming. It often entails risk, but without necessarily improving long term outcomes. Somehow the importance of the simple foundations of good health have been ‘lost in the system’. Enter: Your Integrative Health.
I bring over two decades of experience in general practice, with particular interests in integrative medicine, mindbody health, and athlete medical care. I am also an authorised prescriber of medicinal cannabis. It has been a privilege to care for people and families across generations, and I am now pleased to offer my style of healthcare from my own platform, in my well-known unique, candid style. I do prefer to utilise the simplest, least invasive strategies possible.
If you are stuck in a healthcare rut, have a diagnostic dilemma, or are simply searching for a GP with a personalised, caring approach, I may be able help you. Word of warning - the answers are sometimes those you don't want to hear!
